“SILENT PASSAGE” – WOLF
The Artist’s Statement
A
space in time, a tolerance, as weary passersby cross dangerously close,
even side by side, a respect for now abides. They seem to know each
other’s thoughts as predator and prey, for now they pass so peacefully,
but tomorrow’s another day.
In this
sculpture I tried to capture a “silent passage” where the wolf is alert
but not on the hunt. In turn, the deer watches cautiously as the
wolf goes about his way. By now I’m sure that you have found the
young deer head on the back of the piece. Today they exist in total
harmony and peace. A tolerance and respect for the existence of the other.
Shall hunger change the scene tomorrow? Enjoy!!!
